In March 2010, the first 12 week program filled up quickly at the City Heights Wellness Center in San Diego. Our students are extremely eager to learn and cant wait for the the next weeks martial arts session.

Through martial arts we teach kids goals, discipline, self-confidence.
Each month, the Scripps Wellness Centers focus on health promotion and education services to more than 3,000 San Diegans at Scripps Well Being Centers located throughout the community. Childrens fitness programs, flu shots, wellness check-ups, prenatal education classes, lectures on staying healthy, and caregiver support groups are just a few of the many offerings.
We teach Deserving Children beginner's Martial Arts, which promotes self discipline, giving them pride in accomplishing all of their hopes and dreams.

The UCSD Center for Obesity and Health is an interdisciplinary program involving researchers and clinicians at UCSD. The overall goal of the UCSD Center for Obesity and Health is to ultimately help people who are struggling with their weight and eating. The mission of the Center for Obesity and Health is to improve individual and population health by developing and disseminating treatments for obesity through interdisciplinary research, education, and community outreach. We integrate the newest research to create and provide the empirically based treatments for obesity for adults, teens and youth.
With the increase in childhood obesity comes an increase in a number of diseases and conditions that are associated with obesity.
